— “Queen Elizabeth II by Cecil Beaton. A Diamond Jubilee Celebration” at the V&A until 22nd April

This exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London is showing some very lovely and intimate portraits of the Queen and other members of the Royal Family, certainly worth a visit.

Sir Cecil Beaton (1904-1980), one of the most successful and influential photographers of the 20th century,  has photographed almost every member of the Royal House of Windsor over a period of nearly fifty years.

He captured many important private moments in the Queen’s life, including her coronation and the birth of her children.
