Yesterday morning, Katherine Jane Wood – one of The English Group’s regular photographers – went on a run (with her camera) from her home near to Corsham (just outside Bath in the UK) to the Corsham Court estate – the location for film-maker Stanley Kubrick’s great movie ‘Barry Lyndon’.
…and for those of you who might be wondering about the weather in the UK at the moment, here are a selection of her frosty morning photography.
You’ll notice that Corsham Court is home to some quite magnificent oak trees, shown to particularly fine effect here, with a quite poetic coating of frost.
The railway line featured in the final image is a part of what was once the the Great Western Railway, just a couple of miles from Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s acclaimed Box Tunnel.
…and yes, these images are all of course Instagrams, so those of you wishing to check out more of Katherine’s work, she’s on Instagram as ktjanewood
