— Two Days Later

Somewhat aware that the majority of R.I.P. acknowledgements and obituaries for Nelson Mandela were accompanied by surprisingly bland photography (or imagery), it’s pleasing to see that the December 16th issue of The New Yorker manages to come up with something more iconic.
