I have a fascination with photographing the birds (and the bugs) which share with me the farm that I live on (as well as at the various hawk conservancies and wildlife parks nearby – yes, I am a geek for all this nature stuff)
This provides an excuse to post this beautiful watercolour illustration of more exotic birds than the UK is able to easily offer me.
It’s from a monograph of the Trogonidae or family of the Trogons, by John Gould, London, 1838.
