Parisian artist and designer Sébastian Preschoux has developed several new thread sculptures and ink drawings.
Geometric installations by the artist are created with no particular graphic guide to begin with. Instead, Preschoux develops his thread sculptures spontaneously, starting with a center point in which the artist affixes a gathering of string, leading out to various endpoints from this epicenter. From this process, unique sweeping and intricate shapes are actualized in the environment.
The artist’s string installations are made permanent by the images made by photographer friend Ludovic Le Couster. The photos are captured with strategic lighting placed in such a way that the stretched pieces of thread become vibrant stills.
