A new set of table and benches for Summer 2012 designed by Christopher Duffy for Duffy London.
“This design is an exercise in translating the visual language, beauty and purity of balsa wood surfboards, into a functional piece of furniture, without compromising the aesthetic with opposing optical and physical oxymorons such as table or chair legs.
Hand made by the finest artisan craftsmen in the UK, designed without compromise to manufacturing processes, and extremely time consuming to create, hence they are a teensy-weensy bit expensive.
The tables are a limited edition of twenty and the benches a limited edition of twenty pairs.”
“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf”- Jon Kabat-Zinn
