The record for the most expensive photograph in the world has been smashed by the sale of ‘Phantom’ by fine art photographer Peter Lik.

It sold for a staggering $6.5 million to a private collector, making it the most expensive photograph in history. The purchase also included his photos “Illusion” and “Eternal Moods” which sold for $2.4 million and $1.1 million, respectively. Taking the total sale up to a whopping $10 million.
