Mark Karasick is an artist that explores the increasingly forgotten, highly technical process of creating his paintings via the application of layer upon layer of hot wax.

This encaustic process (as it is known) is hugely demanding and time-consuming, but leads to an altogether unique feel for the artist’s finished works.

The exhibition of this series of works, for which The English Group was commissioned to create the invitation, displays exceptionally large-scale pieces comprising many individual panels (each painted separately) to eventually make up the whole.

The series focus on adults who have informed mark Karasick’s own life painted as babies or very young children.

The fold out invitation is litho printed with letterpress and hot foil-blocked cover boards giving the impression of a hardback book.
