Whilst overseeing The Quite Delightful Project and its exquisite high-specification erotic publishing platform, we were lucky enough to enjoy support and encouragement from high profile emporium of luxury lingerie and other erotic ephemera, Coco de Mer. Their boutique in Covent Garden stocked the magazines and greetings cards produced by The Quite Delightful Project and engaged The English Group to explore creating similar publications to be launched under Coco de Mer’s own masthead.
The English Group proposed creating a Limited Edition book of erotica for Coco de Mer – to be titled For Lovers & Dreamers – as well as an app-based magazine publication which would comprise both editorial content and act as the brands catalogue for showcasing new lingerie designs. However, as a consequence of two changes of ownership at Coco de Mer, the project unfortunately slipped away.
The creation of the English Group’s new website though provides us with this opportunity to retrieve our designs for the proposed publications.
One small project which was progressed by The English Group for Coco de Mer was the production of this set of engraved/die-stamped correspondence cards.
Using extra thick embossed pale green G. F Smith Colorplan card, Coco de Mer’s distinctive logo was die-stamp printed to the front in metallic gold and the reverse of the card was hot foil-blocked in a lace pattern in both metallic gold and gloss black. The cards were also gilt-edged.
